Aiki-jutsu, like other forms of martial arts is designed to effectively control or subdue an attacker. Techniques include striking, kicking, kneeing, throwing techniques, choking, joint manipulations and holding. The vital issue in Aiki-jutsu is its effectiveness in combat. Today the emphasis is on self-defence.
Students take grading’s to measure their level of competence as they progress through the levels but is not strictly enforced. The emphasis is on your ability to defend yourself against an array of attacks not, on the colour of your belt. Aiki-jutsu has recently been raised in the level of awareness by Steven Seagal at the cinemas.
Beginners are always welcome. The first session is always free and any questions that you may have will be answered.
Classes are on Tuesdays 8:00pm - 9:30pm.
